BASF Morocco is looking for an experienced Technical and Development Manager Maghreb to join the Agricultural Solutions team based in Casablanca.
Role Summary
- To provide the technical support and insights across the Maghreb region with the strategic direction, leadership & tools required to ensure:
- a solid technical service that supports business continuity & growth
- by engaging & (compliantly) interacting with the relevant, country specific technical topics
- to establish technical data to sell (in country registrations, up to date product labels with technical data, directions of use) in the region.
- To provide coordination and technical support to the marketing/sales functions in Maghreb and contribute to the generation of high quality trials and technical information.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the portfolio expansion roadmap in Maghreb and speed up the development for our key opportunities by optimizing R&D activities needed for registration of our crop protection solutions.
- Deliver high quality data from the planned R&D activities via reports and presentations.
- Responsible of contracting consultants and experimenters.
- Ensure implementation of right GAPs for Maghreb.
- Effective technical support to marketing and sales team (demos, field days, local brochures, toolbox… etc.)
- Reconcile all running projects supporting sustainability action areas.
- Deliver technical expertise internally and externally.
- Technical support to digital projects.
- Pro-actively seek out & contribute to opportunities that increase the positive brand awareness of BASF & its product
What they expect:
- A recognized University degree in Agronomy, preferably a BSc Agriculture, Plant Pathology or similar as a minimum
- At least 5 years’ experience in the Technical Agricultural business environment (Regulatory & Technical Development topics)
- An advanced level of technical knowledge regarding crop protection solutions – an established level of technical competency regarding BASF solutions
- Well informed & experienced with farming & related agricultural dynamics in NW Africa
- Well informed and used to manage experimentation trials (screening /development/efficacy) trials
- ARM knowledge will be suitable
- Highly motivated, pro-active self-starter
- Strong / Clear communicator with verbal & written command of Arabic, French and English,
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent customer service & relational skills
