Job Purpose :
- Responsible for operations management of the farm (s).
- Prepare and execute annual crop schedules, budgets and purchases.
- Prepare crop plans. Develop, implement and execute growing strategies to optimize Production.
Key Accountabilities :
- Oversees and directs application of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides & fungicides as required by the Crops.
- Ensure everyone follows the correct process to monitor and report on plant growth and balance to influence factors in production (fertilizer, irrigation, and climate).
- Manage crops, including planning, scheduling, monitoring, and weekly forecasting
- Manage Irrigation and plant feeding systems
- Determine and direct implementation of IPM strategies.
- Meet with crop consultant to determine crop strategies, where necessary.
- Ensure continuous improvement among employees (SOPs, training videos, etc.)
- Apply the most efficient methodologies and standards in farm management to achieve set objectives and targets.
