About This Job
As AME VEG Seeds Territory Marketing Manager, you will be responsible to leads marketing activity within the Territory commercial team consistent with A&P priorities including managing NPIs and campaign planning, as well as operational marketing execution within Africa & Middle East region, based in Agadir.
Strategy
How you will make a difference
- Develop the 5-year Territory marketing strategy and 5-year market and sales plan (MAPS).
- Challenge product planning and sign off the MAPS at TER level.
- Co-develop with the Territory Leadership Team the 5-year strategy & road map.
- Support execution of Territory strategy to meet the business and financial objectives.
- Participate in the Go-To-Market strategy preparation & implementation.
Product And Campaign Management
- Manage the Territory product development specialists, coach, and mentor them on all aspects of promotion, pricing, product portfolio, placement, and customer metrics for marketing purposes.
- Own the trialing plans and align trialing activities, product management, and customer feedback to inform support the new product introductions.
- Develop and monitor market intelligence, customer metrics, and segmentation models.
- Oversee the implementation of relevant marketing and product management processes and platforms, in line with regional processes and calendars (e.g., Territory Crop Units, PAT and PAM, Demand Plans, S&OP, pricing)
- Ensure alignment with the global and regional portfolio strategy, prioritization, and resource allocation
- Consolidate the in & out licensing opportunities and provide them to the Regional Portfolio Manager.
- Lead the development of comprehensive marketing plans for the Territory and secure effective campaign design with a specific focus on NPIs.
Others
- Interface with the REG Marketing Manager, adapting and cascading down the regional branding & communication platforms
- Member of the Territory Vegetables Leadership Team, and whenever needed to some of the Territory Commercial platforms
- Provide continuous technical training and expertise to marketing, sales teams as well as customers

Critical Experience And Knowledge
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in agriculture. An MBA would be a plus.
- 10+ years in marketing and business management
- 5+ years of Vegetables Seeds (sales and/or marketing) experience
- Knowledge of the AME Vegetables Seeds market, customer needs and Syngenta portfolio
- Track record of successful people/processes management
- Strong business acumen
- Excellent English language proficiency. French and Arabic of advantage
