Job Summary:
The Distribution Center Technician will collaborate with the IT team to provide technical support to the distribution center and warehouse operations. This role will provide technical assistance to resolve hardware and software issues, maintain the integrity and security of the distribution center network, and assist in deploying and maintaining new technology systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to distribution center and warehouse operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and work with other members of the team to find solutions.
- Monitor the operation of the pack line and perform regular maintenance to ensure the equipment is running at optimal levels.
- Conduct routine inspections of the pack line to identify potential problems before they occur.

- Respond to user requests for technical assistance, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity and security of the distribution center network, including firewalls, SD-WAN devices, switches, access points, and servers.
- Work with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and manage software and hardware upgrades.
- Assist in deploying and maintaining new technology systems, including barcode scanners, RFID readers, and other hardware and software systems.
- Provide training to users on new systems and applications as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on hardware and software systems to ensure maximum performance and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of system configurations, software licenses, and equipment inventory.
- Manage handheld scanners or other automated systems to track and inventory products as they move through the pack line.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed on the equipment.
- Train new team members on how to operate the pack line equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in technical support or IT support in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
- Experience in the agriculture industry or with agricultural technology systems is a plus.
- Strong computer hardware and software knowledge, including operating systems, networking, and security protocols.
- Knowledge of conveyor systems, labeling machines, and weighing scales.
- Experience in managing and maintaining network infrastructure, firewalls, SD-WAN devices, switches, access points, and servers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and barcode scanners is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
The Distribution Center Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the distribution center and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in IT support in a distribution center or warehouse environment. The ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with inventory management systems and barcode scanners are also highly desirable.
