Main purpose
The position holder develops, manages and executes field trials programs in alignment with the regional strategy in order to ensure an efficient product development and optimized time-to-market process and to provide high quality technical profiling as basis for registration of new plant protection products and for technical knowledge transfer to Market Development.
The position holder ensures as well, data analysis, generation of accurate synthesis & summaries and creation of high-quality bio-dossiers in line with the regional strategy contributing to regulatory dossier submissions.
Key Tasks and responsabilities
§Develop and manage – in alignment with the regional strategy – field trials programs supporting development and registration of new plant protection products (Crop Protection and Biologics). §Manage and coordinate in relation with the relevant authorities all activities needed to ensure our License To Operate, such as import permits, field trials permits, etc…
§Coordinate and follow-up all trials performed by external cooperators (CROs) and conduct internally field trials in a safe and efficient manner, providing quality data for use in bio-dossiers, project decision making and transfer of knowledge to Market Development.
§Coordinate, plan, evaluate and ensure that all trials (performed internally & externally) for the registration process are documented according to GAP, Label recommendations, internal SOPs or specific Country legal requirements.
§Ensure preparation of high-quality bio-dossiers contributing to the regulatory dossiers and support claims from authorities during the evaluation process. Collaborate closely with Regulatory Science to ensure efficient timeline & alignment on delivery dates.
§Ensure excellent technical knowledge of all developed products to lead robust technical transfer knowledge to Market Development for further commercial positioning according to the strategy. §Maintain proximity to the local markets to anticipate customer needs and Crop Protection & Biologics trends. Work closely with Marketing/Sales and Market Development to align on new products development needs.
§Cooperate and network with Farmers / External trial cooperators (CROs) / Official institutes and key technical opinion leaders.
§Propose and build trial program for proof-of-concept ideas as possible pre-projects (to be endorsed at regional level before implementation) and ensure a sufficient input of project ideas, local customer needs as well as market and agronomic conditions from the local market into the regional FS organization.
§Be an active member of the Agronomic Solutions West & Central MED and the regional technical forums (ETIMs). Be the Field Solutions contact point at local level, for e.g., be an active contributor to the local Projects Committee in close partnership with Regulatory Science, Marketing / Sales and Market Developmen

Qualifications and Competencies
§University degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Horticulture or Biological Sciences with several years of experience in Agrochemical engineering and in execution of field trialing.
§Good knowledge of crops and practical cropping systems as well as good experience with field trials and field-testing methodology
§Solid experience in the development of crop protection products §Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience
§Excellent analytical skills & ability to write reports
§Good organization and planning skills to coordinate & manage trials program
§Good team player, ability to work in cross-functional teams
§Good networking and communications skills
§Flexible and reliable person, takes clear ownership of tasks
§Familiar with IT applications like MS Office and database systems
§Good ability to communicate in English (written & spoken)
§Car driving license
