Job Description:
In the context of our global expansion, we are seeking profiles with a Science background to deliver three of LEYTON US’s service offerings:
(i) Grants & Incentives Research Studies – the preparation of tailored reports outlining relevant Grants & Incentives,
(ii) Assistance with Grants and Incentives Applications – the actual drafting and project management of the applications themselves.
(iii) Research & Development Tax Credits – the identification of eligible R&D projects.
The consultant will work with clients from a wide array of industries, with a focus on Innovation (biotechnology, neurobiology, agronomy, genetics, molecular, pharmacology etc.), and Social Impact (employment initiatives, nonprofits, etc.).
The role involves a strong component of client facing activities, including interviews, check-ins, and ongoing communications.
Some key tasks are the following:
- Manage a portfolio of technical subjects.
- Lead Client Interviews to understand projects and activities that may be eligible for public and private grant funding or R&D tax credits.
- Draft clear technical analysis documents about the clients’ R&D/Grants projects
- Study the possibilities of public funding and prepare Grants & Incentives Research Studies
- Review project documents provided
- Assist with preparation of grant applications, from drafting project descriptions, preparing budgets, supporting documentation, and provide ongoing updates to clients.

Selection Criteria:
- Masters degree/PhD in Biology – Biotechnology – Neurobiology – Agronomy – Genetics – Molecular – Pharmacology or other related fields
- Excellent Proficiency in English (written and verbal communication)
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Curiosity, awareness and an interest in science, technology and innovation
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail & a personable attitude
- Familiarity with the National Institutes of Health is preferred, but not required.
